Over the last decade, the MiniBeast™ has become the most favoured choice of the steel fabricator in the UK.
Whilst it is perfect for site drilling, with its customer driven features, here at JEI we wanted to enhance it's capabilities to make it a more suitable fit for more applications.
By listening to our customers' and end users' comments, we realised that just one machine couldn't bridge this gap, so we've created a whole family of options.
Over a series of posts, we'll be talking about what's new in the MiniBeast™ family.
Part One - New MiniBeast™ Ratchet Option
The market leading MiniBeast™ portable magnetic drill is now available with a ratchet operation. Allowing easier close access when needing to cut holes in tight corners of steel section, reducing the overall width without the need to feed the machine with spoke handles.
A ratchet handle offers either left or right-hand side operation for the user and can be quickly adapted without the need of any tooling.
The MiniBeast Thin™ incorporates all the standard characteristics of the MiniBeast, including internal coolant system, hidden motor cable and self correcting motor slides, and is designed to cut holes up to 35mm Diameter on a 19mm (3/4") Shank, with annular cutters such as JEI's HSS type Turbo™ Steel or TCT Type Turbo™ Tough
The MiniBeast™ RT (ratchet) machine can be ordered as a new complete option in 110 v or 240 v operation, or parts can be supplied as a retrofit kit to upgrade existing standard MiniBeast™ models which feature 3 spoke handles.
